I want to replace my cheezy sounding 6-tone siren with one that sounds a little more professional..
My current alarm is a Crimestopper CS-2001 or something of the like. When the alarm goes off and that stupid sounding siren starts, it sounds like the car is equipped with a cheap alarm.
Can I use a siren off a more expensive alarm?
Any suggestions on where to get one or what to look for?
Thanks

Can you delete any of the sounds in the alarm cycle/siren?  You can use any siren.  Perhaps a DEI 514. or any of your choice.

Yea, I'm pretty sure you can use any siren, too. Just be careful when looking for a "different" one because I've heard that many different alarm companies use the same 6-tone siren :-) I opened up my siren and cut out 2 or 3 of the tones (which doesn't really make much of a difference). But I also hooked up my car horn, so the horn and the siren go off at the same time. It's pretty unique sounding, and I know when my car is going off.
I guess what would be even more unique would be to have two 6-tone sirens, and delete 3 of the sounds from one siren, and delete the opposite 3 from the other. This way, when they go off, it will sound......insane?   Unique to say the least.
