Reverse Mount Sub Box

You want plexi on either side of the sub...  You're looking for a bandpass box?

either way is fine, I am looking for either a bandpass or sealed, mostly I want the styling of subs frame to be seen, but I would also like to hear the sub reverse mounted.  Bandpass or sealed is fine and it doesn't matter if there is plexi on both sides, just the side that shows the frame.

you will lose both sound quality and volume by doing this, if that is a concern at all... you can do a reverse mount on pretty much any box that you can find, its just a matter of flipping the subs around and screwing them from the back...

 A band pass in plexi will not be cheap and will not sound as good as the sealed but it will give you a little more bass. I would suggest that you build a regular sealed enclosure with a plexi window so you can see the back of the sub. Or you can invert the sub so you see the magnet outside the box and you see the front of the driver thru the plexi window. If you invert the sub you must subtract the subs displacement from the volume of the enclosure. You must also reverse the phase of the sub. If you really want to spend some money you can do the whole box out of plexi and you will see everything.

hey bberman1, i'm getting confused, can you explain why you would subtract the subs displacement from the volume of the enclosure when its not taking any space inside the enclosure? i thought the displacement of the sub doesn't affect the volume of the enclosure when it is inverted.
