I just installed a remote start/alarm combo with a starter kill this past weekend.  Now my gauges on my dash work only intermittantly.  They seem to have a mind of their own, coming on when I start the car sometimes and sometimes not.  If they do not come on, they do not turn on as I continue driving the car. But if they do turn on, they work the whole time the car is on.  Any idea what could be causing this phenomenon and how can I fix it? Thanks.

Check all of your ignition wires, make sure that they are all connected and they are connected securely.

Check all ground wires also. A lot of problems can be solved with a good ground. Be sure to scrape the paint where you connect it.

check your parking light wire. If you accidently hooked up the wire that powers the intrument lights (the one attached to the dimmer) you may have damaged either the dimmer itself or the wire going to it. Just a side guess to the above suggestion.
Double check the wiring diagram on this site for the correct color if you think this is a possiblity

Thanks for the info...I checked all my connections and they were all connected securely and correctly.  The ground is a good connection as well.  However, I need to just check my parking light wire. Thanks a ton for the info and I'll let you know how that works out.
