I need help fixing a problem with the turn signals on a 93 civic. It  keeps blowing the fuse for the turn signals. The hazards work and are not afected by it even though they use the same wirring to the lamps so I know it not wirring to the lights.

I took out the lights flasher and it still blows the fuse also took out the plug that goes to the turn signal switch and it keeps blowing the fuse. Also I did check the light bulbs and the sockets antd they're all good. I can't figure this one out so I need help. Any ideas?

Have you tried taking out the actual turn signal switch in the steering column. I recently replaced mine because it started smoking while I was driving but it didnt blow a fuse. I replaced it(100 bucks)and 2 min, everything works great. Those turn signal switches are quite complex inside.
Hope this helps, you might have to replace it.
