I have a 91 ford explorer. I'm attempting to put a Crimestopper 2006FM remote start on it. I don't know how or where to connect the coil wire or the neutral safty switch. Any help you could provide would be much appreciated.

ground the neutral safety wire from the alarm

connect tach wire from alarm too the tan / YELLOW wire do not ground this wire this is the coil wire color that you should connect the tach wire too

you do not need neutral safety on this install

My alarm says it can opperate in tachless mode as long as tach wire is "connected to a valid source" does that mean I can just ground the tach wire on my unit and not have to worry about anything? I'm really sorry to be such a bother...

Connect it to the tach wire. Remote starters very rarely work well if not hooked up to tach. Some times it will start, othertimes it won't.
