Should a sealed box be divided for 2 sub?

Should a sealed box for 2  subs be divided in the middle? Or open?  12 volt rules

I've seen it done both ways, but i think its always better to have the divider so the subs have their own space to do their thing.

If you are running two woofers in parallel or in series where both see the exact same signal (mono) they can be mounted in the same air space.  Be sure when you design the enclosure to build it for TWO speakers!  If you want to run different signals to the two woofers (i.e. run them in stereo) they must be mounted in their own air space (divided.)

It's easier to design/build if each sub is in it's own chamber.Squirrel

Whenever I build and enclosure I always use separate chambers, it doesn’t take allot of time or materials to make the center divider. Just to name a few of the benefits. If you install the center divider it acts as a brace so you end up with a stronger box. If you have a problem with one sub it doesn’t affect the other. And in larger enclosure it helps to reduce wave cancellation.
