Tach wire on 98 S-10 Blazer

Help, I am trying to locate the tach wire on my Blazer. Is there a better way then using the tach wire for the remote starter? I found a white wire coming off the coil that goes to ground when the vehicle is started but I have never had this much trouble installing a remote starter. Any help is greatly appreciated.

meh, if u can't find the tach wire, just grab a signal off one of the cylinders.

Your looking for a white wire at the powertrain control module. Im going to send you a little tech note for the passlock system. Hope this helps.
