I have a Sound Storm SDVD-100 dvd/cd player for my car and it only came with an adapter for the cigarette lighter (12v dc power)...Does anyone know if there would be a way to wire this because when I use the dvd/cd player I get a hiss...The volume is also lower...I get stereo and tv through my tv player in a different mode and they are very loud...Its only when I go to the dvd player that I get a loud hiss and lower volume....By the way I have a wire harness powering the tv/stereo (thats a pyle that ejects from the dash) but the problem is with the sound storm sdvd-100 dvd player...Is there anything I can do to fix this problem ???

If you have a 12 volt adapter to the dvd player just cut the end off and straight wire it to 12 volts. Be sure to fuse the 12 volt wire with a fuse of the same rating as was in the adapter. If you are having noise problems check all of your grounds and make sure that they are solid. Also be sure to run any signal cables well away fron any 12 volt wires. Try this and see if it helps any. i agree with brian ,but i would also check the player for volume control.i know that almost every player we install has a volume control and has stumped even the best installer.as far as you noise (ground ground ground) also on mobile video the noise is commonly in the video cable try a video noise filter on the video cable.

We had the same problems installing other name brand DVD players. The solution for the low volume from your DVD player is to use a line driver. It allows you to adjust the output from your DVD player to match the signal of your other components.
