I need an amp that will give my 15" L7 at least 1000 watts rms.  I had a JBL 1200.1 on it and it pounded until the amp fried again and fried my speaker along with it. Dumb me for buying used.  But guys let me know if you know a good amp.  Looking to spend $400 and under help me out guys.

Xtant makes quality amps. You can get the X1001 (100W RMS @ 2 ohms) for about 400 on ebay.  Another one to look into is the Rockford Fosgate 1001 bd. There is also a kicker KX1200.1 or a Phoenix Gold T1200.1 or Soundstream Rubicon 1002.

The hifonics brutus 1500 will easily give that 1500 watts...if u dont wanna give it that much go for the brutus 1000...either way with that amp your l7 will pound.

Well, the best sub amps i have seen are Diamond Audio's.

The D5 1200.1 would make you very happy. These are really clean and powerful amps and would not let you down. Downside is finding them for a decent price, they can be quite expensive from dealers. Can find them on Ebay every now and then. With the problems you have had with your set-up, if this amp did not satisfy you then i would re-consider the sub set-up.
