Couldn't you use the yellow wire at the switch?

nope...that wire is just to turn them on, they will still come on when you start the vehicle and it's dark.  btw, the issue with it starting has nothing to do with the ignition module, and everything to do with a bad ground, ground the remote start better or even try a new unit.  if it wornt start then you'r looking for an extra ignition.  i hate when they start with key insertion, always a shock

the remote start works fine now.  some of those posts are older.  only problem now is the headlights.  how do you close a topic once you get the info you needed?
