i just got a amplifier that produces 1300watts rms@4ohms, and i am looking to purchase either a 12" or 15" sub for competition. These subs take lots of power to drive them, so if the 12 rated for 1300 watts rms, and the 15 is for 1500, am i going to gain anything by going with the 15" sub, SPL wise, even though it will not be powered to its full potential, plus its 100 bucks more.

the 15 has like triple the total displacement of the 12, but the bass wont be as tight as the 12, you wont feel it in your bones as much, but you definately will hear it.  I would go for the 15 just cuz, haha

Are you competing and looking for the highest DB? Or are you looking for something for everyday listening that will just pound?

promodeepcycle in order to have an isobaric enclosure you must have at least 2 drivers. Are you referring to a bandpass enclosure? https://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/boxes.asp
