Aluminum amp rack?

I read somewhere that you should not mount amps directly to metal/chassis of the car.....If you need to do this use rubber mounts/grommets/washers to mount between the amp and rack.

I read somewhere that you should not mount amps directly to metal frame/chassis of the car.  If you need to mount amps this way use rubber grommets/washers/etc between the amp and rack.

The only reason I know why you wouldn't mount it directly to the chassis is because of vibration. Just like you shouldn't mount your amp to your box (alot of people do). The vibration will shake the solder joints loose in your amp causing multiple loose connections. I would probably mount an amp to the chassis before I would a box.
