I just started to get into this beetle for a remote start and keyless install. In order  to drop the lower dash panel, do you have to remove the entire radio bezel to get to some screws that hold the lower dash panel on? and to remove the radio do i need VW keys, or can i improvise somehow? and just by looking at how the factory door boot is, how the he#$ do i fish wires through for locks and trunk???

This may be my first and last VW install...........

Cant find the right tach wire for a 2000 VW beetle. DEI techsoft and audiovox tech says GREEN/ brown at the ecu. i measured the wire with a dmm and it has about 3 volts at idle and 0 voltage when engine is off, and it does change with engine rpm. however the audiovox aps-685 im using with it wont learn the tach signal, and ive tried another audiovox brain hoping that maybe the brain was bad, but it still wont learn it. does anyone know for sure if i have the right tach wire at the ecu? i was told by someone else that it is a GREEN/ red, but there is no GREEN/ red at the ecu. so right now im SOL

any help would be appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
