So I guess that it would be a wise decision to pick up a whole bunch of resistors along with some 30amp relays along with relay sockets to go with them .

You are also going to need a realy to pop the trunk.  Follow the same diagram for the clutch relay, just instead you are using the two wires on the switch to pop the trunk.

Advanced Auto Parts sells relays in the light section for $4.95.  Cheapest I found in my area.

NO sh*t.  I have to get me some then.  I've been going crazy getting them things.  Everywhere I find them they are around $10.  SO i thought $5 was a steal.   I am only thinking that maybe .99 each sounds like they may be poorly manufactured or don't last long.  We'll see though.  Hopefully they work out, I have about 9 relays in the car, that's a lot of cash to save.  I don't use the relay sockets though.  I use shielded female quick connects.  They lock onto the hole's in the relay connectors and are tight as anything.  about a $1 for a box of 50.

They are standard SPDT Bosch relays that are sold at Parts Express for $0.99.
