Hi yet again. =P

I'm going to build my box tomorrow, and I have a question about building a slotted port into my box.  I am going to go with a slotted port, and I was wondering if I should build it like this:  With the slotted port just a divider in the wall like so...Fina sub box questions. Or like so:

The difference is in the ports.  You see my slotted port in the first example is built into the wall, while the second one it's completely seperate.  Now, I would like to know if I could possibly go with the first example.  I only have one sheet of 4x8 1" MDF, and I'd rather not buy another one...  So does anybody have an idea?  Thanks.

You can use one wall of the sub box as a wall of the port, no problems with that at all, no need to use more materials than you have to.
Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.

I agree with forbidden, theres no reason to use diagram 2, it will just waste material. But make sure you brace inside the main chamber.
