Is there any way to test the bcm on a 93 pontiac trans am. I have no power to anything now, and I'm wondering if this might be it.

Go to junk yard and purchase a bcm, plug it in and see if that works.

I would like to find out if mine works so that I don't have to buy a new one. Is there any way to test the one that I currently have?

I don't know how, but the local dealer should be able to walk you through it as long as you have the vehicle.

Have you checked all of the fuses in the car? Is your battery dead?

Yes, I checked every fuse I could find and checked the battery. There is no power to anything, no matter what. I will try to contact the dealer or an auto parts store to see if they know how to test it.

You say you have no power to anything. Do you mean to say there is no power to any fuses or just the BCM. There isn't any way to test a BCM other than to diagnosis it in the vehicle. There should be orange wires which have battery power and pink ones which have ignition power. Check these.

I hate to say this, but the bcm doesn't control everything. I don't quite understand why you are worrying about the bcm when you don't have any power anywhere. You probably have a dead battery. Go buy a 9 dollar digital multimeter at checker or autozone and see if the battery has any power, or you could just take the battery and have it tested.

I was under the impression he meant no power locks/windows (accessories), but if that's not the case, I agree.  Check the battery and all connections.  Check the ground cable to the negative battery terminal.
