Sound like you have hooked up to the dimmer wire, instead of acc.  Check your power wires with the lights off and on, if it has 12 v with lights off and 0 when on its the wrong one.  Find the one that stays on .

I would say that you hooked the negative to the illunation wire, it will test ground until the Parking lights are turned on, then it wil go 12v.   I have seen this happen to a few newbirs when hardwiring.

yeah it's definately the dimmer wire hooked up to your ground wire....then you're testing a wire you think might be ground.....test with your cars lights on.....if it still reads ground while the lights are on you've found your wire

There are two yellow wires and two brown wires in the radio harness. One brown is the leftr rear speaker positive and one yellow is the left rear speaker negative. the other brown is for the parking lights and the other yellow is ignition power. There are also two grey wires. The first one is the left front speaker negative and the second one is for the dash lamps that dim. Check with a meter to se which is which. The power/lamp wires are in the 6 pin section of the radio plug and the speakers are in the other two four pin sections of the plug. Hope this helps.
