Just wanted to see how long it would take everyone to install just a HU, amp and sub?

Hope thats not a dumb question to ask 4 a basic install how long would it take -- posted image.

Thanks

What vehicle? It would vary in each vehicle. Also, what type of amp? 4 channel or 2 channel or sub only? and are we having to build a box for the sub? How big is the amp? How much amperage is it drawing? That's important to know b/c it's a little tougher to run 4 guage for an amp that is pushing 2 12's and drawing 60 amps of current than it is to run 10guage wire for an amp that is drawing 20 amps of current and pushing one 8.

I just meant in general, though i would say 4 gauge, 2 channel amp, and one 12, in a car

One and a half hour tops on an average vehicle, I would say. But this does vary vehicle to vehicle.

I just installed a HU, amp an a sub in a 1999 Camary and it took me about 2 1/2 hours give or take, plus catching up on old times (bullsh*tin') so thats not to bad I dont think, the reason I was asking is this other guy he asked to install the system said it would take like 4 hours, which i told my friend wow that sure is long time......oh plus this time I took alot of pictures, thought i was at a photo shoot  LOL 4 a basic install how long would it take -- posted image.

I would agree with the 1 1/2 hours but it DEFINATELY varies from vehicle to vehicle. And that doesn't include building the enclosure. Provided you had the box built in that Camry, I could to that one in 1 1/2 hours for sure, probably a tad less. Toyotas are easy to get in and out of. I think even an hour on that install (with no one sitting there wanting to talk to me!).

I thought that everything was very simple also, panels came off very easy no real trouble at all.

thanks for your reply and thoughts

Doug
