I installed a matrix 1 alarm in my truck some months ago and not to long after that my siren went out in a parking lot. I just got a new siren when I reconnected it, it didn't work? I check all the fuses and connections and as far as I can tell everything is in order, the lights still flash and when I activate and de-activate the alarm, the old siren when connected makes a faint noice when set off, but the new one nothing?? Is there something I'm missing?

Check the sirens ground, if thats good, it could be a bad output on the brain.

I would test the siren's output from the brain of the alarm with a meter to see if the alarm is putting out any power to the siren. Also, there is nothing that you did that would have put the alarm into silent arming/disarming? Hit panic and see if it sounds.

Thanks for the help but what I thought was simple turned out to be a little more difficult than I thought.
Well I checked all connections and of power to the siren can't seem to find out whats wrong. When I connect the old siren it makes sound or at least some effort,(but it doesn't seem to be putting enough power into it because when I put it to a battery its a little louder?)when I put the new one nothing the ground is good, the fuses good, the connections good, from what I can tell, but I was wondering if it could be the relay in some way not pumping the right amount of juice to siren, or I might have to face the cold hard facts I need a new system if theres any more insite on my issues please help me
