Is there any possible way to use a factory remote with a aftermarket keyless system? Like is there a converter box that could learn the code of the keyless entry remote and the factory remote? I always wanted factory ford remotes, I've never liked aftermarket ones. Thanks!

You have to buy something like this. It actually wires into the factory lock wires to arm and disarm and will work with the factory keyless remotes.

I have seen those, my problem is, and I guess I should have mentioned this, is that my truck did not come with factory remotes or power door locks. All of this was added by me. Now could this kit still be used, or does it require a factory keyless system to be installed? Thanks!

Those kits require an existing keyless entry system to work; personally I don't like them because they are disarmed by the unlock switch as well as by the unlock on the remote. As far as programming a factory remote, it wouldn't generally work unless the aftermarket system used the same frequencies as the factory remote.

ya thats why I was thinking maybe they made a converter box. I mean they made remotes that worked with the factory steering wheel radio control switches that worked with aftermarket stereos. Maybe theres a converter that would learn the factory remote codes then convert them to the aftermarket code. I guess not tho, thats a real bummer.
