Wiring Loop On Siren

I have seen that some sirens have a loop of wiring on them in addition to the normal Positive/negative.

Anybody know what it is for?

its a soft chirp loop, cutting the loop will eleminate the soft chirp from the siren and the chirps will be much louder. It doesn't effect the volume when trigger though.
