anybody know if a 99 navigator will hold 2 din size units stacked?...specifically a cd head unit and an in-dash dvd player. if so is there a special dash kit for this. thanx

If it is anything like a F-150 (truck country here, not upscale SUV, oh no it might get dirty) it may appear to be a double din, but if you remove the factory unit and look at the top of the dash cavity, chances are that it bends downwards about 5" in from the front. If this is the case, the only way you are going to be able to do double din is modifying the dash cavity. Check to see if this is what you have, chances are it is.

i believe the Snap On air saw is the tool of choice to remove the white colored plastic needed to fit units in the dash. as far as the kit, i fab mounts from back strapping. be careful not to go to high in the dash unless you want a new ash tray. good luck....Dave
