I've tried searching but really didn't find a good answer.  what's a good router out there, that doesn't cost like $150 or more?  I don't really want to spend more that $100 because I don't think I'll be using it enough.

Go to home depot and check out some routers there. Or if you want something used check your local pawn shop.

If you have a tools for less or a cummins tool that says refurbished and used tools you don't have to spend alot. Teamrf is also right about pawn shop if you shop every once and awhile you can find a good deal and just bargin with them I gaurantee they will go down in price.

I saw an advanced fab video recently. This guy was using a die grinder with router bits in it to flush trim and the like. Was really fast and easy to get into tight spaces.

I had never thought of trying that, but it seemed to work really good.

My porter cable 1 1/2 HP works good for me and it's in that price range if you can find it on sale. Whatever you go with make sure it has 1/2" and 1/4" collets.

I went out to sears and got a craftsman plunge router.  it's only a 1/4" collet and a 2 hp peak.  It didn't come w/ bits, so I went out and ordered an Amana spiral upcut bit.  I think I searched on here and someone reccomended it.
