Problem With Passlock 2

Hi,

We need some help. We recently installed a Compustar 1 Way alarm/starter unit into a 00 Sunfire.

There is nothing wrong with the alarm or the starter. It all works. We used a PL2003 bypass module but the

" Service engine & Security Light stays on "

I know it is the right module so this is where we are stumpted

Any advice would be great

We had the PLXR and it kept locking the car out.

Should the PL2003 not make the lights come on?

The Sunfire does have a factory alarm

Check to make sure that the (-) ground out when running wire is in fact sending a solid (-) signal to the PL2003. Most of the time when the car starts and you get this error, the ground signal is not working properly. The only other posssible thing I would suggest is to isolate the starter wire from the remote starter in case you are getting residual current feeding back into the system. Wire in s relay like this:

• 85 Starter output from RS
• 86 Ground out when running wire
• 87 Vehicle's starter wire
• 30 12 volt constant
• 87a NOT USED
