I am trying to put a tach into a 2003 nissan sentra XE.  It has not factory tach....no blue wire with orange stripe behind the instrument cluster, and if I hook onto any one coil, I get a 1/4 reading of the rpm (as you would expect)..

Does anyone know how to get a tach signal on my car??

Any help would be greatly appreciated

RJ

For tach go to any of the coils and use one of the following: BLACK/ red, purple, blue/red, or gray/red. Can also use blue/orange at the instrument cluster if vehicle is equipped with a tachometer.

If I go to those coil wires, I get just the reading for that 1 plug. (ie. 1/4 of the full reading)

I have no factory tach....  and no blue with orange wire behind the instrument cluster.
