i have a old hifonics zeus vii amplifier and i was going to install a battery in the rear i wanted to know which is better 2 optima yellow top batterys or 2 small lightning audio gel cells they kinda look like small motorcycle batterys

The Yellow Top battery is a *Deep Cycle* battery. Meaning it is designed, built, and intended to be depleted very low with out ill effects to the service life of the battery.
If the Lightning Audio is also a *Deep Cycle* battery also, then what ever is cheaper, and saves you weight and space is the way to go.
You cannot go wrong with the Optima Yellow Top battery. One of the most bullet proof batteries built, with an amazing service after the sale warranty.
The only negative things to mention about the batteries are that they are extremely heavy, and are pretty large.

bah...go with Hawker Odyssey batteries...
lower ESR and better all around battery in my experience...well worth the money...
