i looked on ebay, an posted a question on here but can't seem to find it now. but i was wondering if anyone, has heard of or used cerwinvega v-max subs before? an if they would hit harder than sony?

"Hit harder?"  Well, that depends on a lot of things, including enclosure type, vehicle, amplifier, etc.  But I can say with certainty that CV loudspeakers are far superior in quality to anything Sony has ever made, even their bargain basement V-Max line.  If you are buying off eBay beware of defective equipment.  Get a warranty from the seller.

The CV V-Max sub is their IT/Vega replacement.  It is not CV entry level, that would be the HED series.  The V-Max is a cast basket 300w RMS sub works in small enclosure.  Think of it as a alpine type "R" with wider frequency reponse, more power handling and cleaner sound.

so the v-max would how can i put it, i could feel it an hear it in my house cuz my sonys are garbage. it sounds ok in my car but i walk away i can barely hear it. so they would be better than my sony's?

Sony makes good tvs.....sorry i cant say the same for there stereo equipment

haha their home stereo equipment is grand, but their xplod car audio is crappy

agreed. I've heard their Xplods and heard CV's. Heaven and Hell difference anyday! I'm quite surprised to see Sony in far less than #1 position.

well sony was on sale. so i bought them. kinda worried that if i buy something else it won't bang louder or better but thank u everyone for your input.
