Can a relay be used to roll down a driver side window using the second channel on an alarm or does a module have to be used? If a relay is used I understand that the wire from the brain which is negative is connected to the 86 on the relay and constant power to 85, but what is connected to 87and 30, 1 is the window down but what is the other one? Thanks

Hey gotoevolution,

A relay will make it go down but it won't have any  way of detecting that the window has stopped and will force the motor.  This is why we use window modules like the 529T from DEI for example to correctly roll two windows up or down or can control one window in up and down mode.  It relies on the current draw of the motor to know when it's time to release.  Window Rolldown - Last Post -- posted image.
