how can i tell if my mustang is equipped with the factory installed remote entry system? I bought a key fob on ebay, and the seller assured me that if i have factory power locks, all i needed to complete the remote entry was the key fob. However, i can't make it work like the seller said.

You could try calling your local ford dealer and giving them the VIN number. They will probably be willing to help if you ask nicely.

You'll have to find the keyless entry box in the left rear trunk area.

In the truck area left side, you'll have to pull off the grey carpeted piece on the side. Under that if you have the keyless, will be the module you need. Then you can take a paper clip to jump the 2 pins. If you find the box, post again. I go into more detail.

i don"t see any module. Ford dealer told me to turn key in ignition several times, 8-10 precisely, and if i had the module, the locks would cycle. i don't get any cycling. so, i guess i got burned by misinformation.  thanks for your help. We'd like to sell this mustang, know any one looking for a clean low mileage 95 gt?

According to my papers, you have to find the box in the rear, and jump the pins on it while ignition is in run or acc, To cycle the door locks.

look in the trunk on the left side behind the trim panel. if you have keyless, the unit will be there along with a two wire plug. if you dont see the unit there, then you got ripped off on e-bay...not all cars have factory K/E..............and you program the remotes like stated above
Good Luck
