As the topic states, need the radio diagram for a 1984 Nissan Maxima, possibly the same for a Datsun 810. Any help is appreciated. Here are the colors I have to work with off the factory harness:

Blue
Green
RED / White
Black
GREEN/ YELLOW
BLACK / YELLOW
RED / Yellow
RED / Blue
BLACK/ Blue
White
Grey/White

This is a 4 speaker system, and yes, I have checked installdr and the installbay archive. Thanks in advance!

Ok this will be an educated guess... so here we go...  your:

RED / white   GREEN/ YELLOW   BLACK / YELLOW   RED / yellow   RED / blue   BLACK/ blue   white   and grey/white will be your speaker wires.  To test which ones are which you can do two things.  You can grab a 9V battery and put one of those speaker wires on one lead and another speaker wire on the other lead and if you hear a pop or crackle in a speaker well then you have your speaker.  The other thing you could do is take the black wire from the factory harness and it should be the blue wire for 12V and hook one up to one speaker wire and the other up to another speaker wire and get a pop or crackle to find your speaker.

It should be the black wire that's ground... the blue wire which is 12V and Green for Accessory.  If the radio does  not turn on just switch the green and blue around.  If it doesn't turn on at all then check your fuses.  Hope this helps...
