Anyone remember when Crunch used to advertise 1-ohm stable amps? :-)

I have two bd 1500 by rockford and had the resistors removed which allows me to bridge down to 1 ohm even though they are 2 ohm stable.

Forbidden-I bought the 2 ohm Type R.  For now it will be hooked up 4 ohm bridged to my crappy Lanzar 600w amp.  Very soon-I will be getting a good amp, either Alpine, Pheonix Gold, or Kicker.  I want something that will deliver what it advertises in either 4 ohm bridge or 1 ohm mono modes.  Any suggestions??

Does anyone online sell JBL?  No retailers in my area seem to carry them.  Any opinions on the new kicker amps, in particular the kx450.2 or 550.2?

You can find the JBL 600.1 on sound domain.com for a pretty good price.

I got mine from www.purecaraudio.com

My jbl was 2 JL 12w6v2's both were wired to 2 ohms each, and being the 1200.1 is mono, they were firing at 1 ohm.  I never had any issues with the thing getting even remotely warm or clipping.  On the other hand when I sold the w6's and got my one 12w7, the amp sucks.  It doesn't like the 3 ohm load at all.  THe boom box in my room was louder.  Now I have the JL 1000/1 and am waiting for the weekend to put it in 1 ohm amps - Page 2 - Last Post -- posted image.
