Hello to all, this is my first post.  I have installed two alarms before and have never had a problem.  I am installing the Valet 561T onto my 2002 Odyssey.  I think I have installed all the needed wires and now I need to program the unit to my factory remote.  I have no idea how to do this.  Ther are no instructions in the install manual, and I have searched this forum to no avail.  Please enlighten me, I feel like an idiot.

I found my problem.  I do not have the activation input hooked up properly.  I know that the remote start works because if i give the H1/6 wire 2 pulses the van starts right up.  I have not been able to find the right wire to hook the activation input wire up to.  Any help please?

are you trying to hook up this RS add-on to a stock alarm or an aftermarket?
if its hook to the stock alarm, then use the doorlock wire from teh car w/ a diode and a relay. a diode is use to keep the manual lock/unlock button from starting it.
if its hook to the aftermarket alarm then find an AUX wire.

Yes it is a remote start add on.  Can you give me a diagram of what it should look like?  The pic in the manual showes it hooked up to a momentary switch.
