Maybe this Spring I'll give it another try. Seeing as already have all the wire cut for connections!!!

Is that the only phillips srcew that I would be looking at in the alternator?

Denis- there's more than one stator pole with a philips screw, but the easiest one to reach is right on top when you take the cover off. Our local alternator guy at A and S is awesome, maybe your local guy would point it out to you on one of his units. It's really obvious when you have the cover off. Steve
