My car has a pretty sick trunk lid rattle.  One day, I decided to throw a couple towels in between when i closed the lid.  Did miracles to get rid of the rattle.  However, Im putting in a new system (I will deaden too), but i was wondering if there is anything else i can do other than the welfare towels. Any advice is apreciated.

I drive a neon...got a problem with that??

Dont leave the towels in there because they can trap moisture and make your trunk rust

my 2003 mustang does the same thing.  Usually I would say a new piece of the weather stripping would do, but mine is brand new.  I filled my trunk lid with insta-foam, and used dynomat extreme.  But I get funky hissing noises now, because the bass pushes up on the lid, so I am giong to install Hood pins where the stock spring are.  The springs that adjust the tension on closing the lid and aid in popping it up when you open the trunk.  I am going to adjust the hood pins so it pulls the lid a little tighter on the seal.  Should work, otherwise it may just crack the lid.  We'll see.
