I have a 99 Malibu that I am planning on installing a DEI 530ESP w/remote start. The car did not come with a factory alarm or keyless entry, but does have Passlock. My question is, before I get into this is there anything I will need to have , or know, to avoid problems and make this work? Also do I need to install the starter kill relay while having Passlock?

This wiring diagram might help. You will need a multimeter. Maybe some relays.

Use DEI's 555L for the passlock bipass, makes it much easier.

Thank you for helping me with the wiring diagrams and the 555L bypass, this should make it a lot simpler of an install. If I run into any problems or questions that I don't see in the database I’ll be sure to ask.    Thanks again for the help.
