we hooked up a xbox with a pioneer 6600 dvd and a directed 8" monitor and have noise in the video line, we have worked through the normal troble shooting like moving location of invertor, path of rca's, changed invertors increased gauge of wire going to invertor, etc,a few years ago we hooked up a lap top in a customers car to play through the stereo and had noise, he ordered a power cable with a filter which we installed and it took out the noise, i have been on x-box sites with no luck, let me know if you have any ideas

Try adding a noise blocker in the line.  This is a simple coil, that you can get at many audio installation places and even Radio Shack for cheap....

It's weird, I get the same noise when I hook up my xbox to my system.  In my case there is a line on the screen that runs vertically from the top and traverses it's way down every second.  Also a very loud noise can be heard from the speakers, it sounds like the noise of a hair cliper (The kind a barbers uses to cut hair).

Please let indyvader and me know if anyone has any answers to this problem.

Thank you.
