installed starter kill now no amps

just installed the passive starter kill as shown here:

i have spliced into my amp turn on lead like so (the lead turns on my amps and fans):

now the starter kill does what its suppose to do but the amps and fans won't turn on.  Is this because it now does not get enough current? if i disconnect the starter kill, the fans and amps turn on.

would it help if i wired the relay for the fans and amps like this:
