87 Caprice, stock radio removal?

Has anyone removed the stock 1987 caprice radio? if so how exactly did u do it? i have looked around and only got like 4 screws to get the whole assembly w/the climate controls(heat/ac etc) but i cant figure out how to get just the radio part out...if u need pics to see what/where im talking about i can post some if u ask, but im assuming/hoping someone has done this...thank you.

Post the pics, if I remeber right is there a narrow trim piece that runs the width of the dash? If so, then it has to go.

they are quite the bugger... you have to slide the dash bezel out far enuff to get behind there with a nut driver and unscrew the bracketing that holds the radio to the dash bezel.... it's not as bad getting it out as it is getting it back in.....

i got it out...it actually wasnt to hard...i decided to go the way of taking out the glove box and unhooking the cord for the cold/hot lever and that gave me the room i needed to get the screws out and sh*t.

process of elimination and now its out...thanks for the help tho
