Hey. I am going to install a Viper 791xv in my 87 300E Benz and need some help.

First, do I need any extra relays to make my vacuum door locks work? Or can I just hook it up to the electric vacuum pump which opens all locks including trunk.

Second, how do I deal with the factory anti theft system?

Third, are there any other sensors that I need to order to make it "extra secure"?

Last, is there anyone, especially in the bay area that I could call if I need some help?

Thanks

I have never installed an alarm but have completely restored this car so I know how to get to everything and where everything is. I have wiring diagrams for my car as well.

you need a 451M module to work the vacuum locks. You can call 407-870-8889 and I can also email you wiring diagram for your vehicle

I would just use the 451m relay pack with the system.

as far as your door locks go.

GREEN/ black and BROWN / black are tied together(lock relay 30, unlock relay 87a)

WHITE/ black goes to the switch side(lock relay 87a)

blue/black goes to the motor side(unlock relay 30)

purple goes to 12v(unlock relay 87)

PURPLE / black goes to ground(lock relay 87)

ground to 86

12v to 85

I found this in a previous thread. Is it how you make a 451m relay pack?

Also, I haven't received the alarm yet so I haven't read the instructions yet. Does the relay pack come with the 791xv?

I decided on on the Clifford Matrix 3.5 today. My local shop gave it to me for $320 with a single zone proximity sensor. It seems that since it came with the 451m relay pack, that I won't need anything else. Right? I just bought a dig multimeter so I will start on it tonight.

What do you folks think about the matrix 3.5?
