I was wondering if there are any DEI systems that are really cheap that have a wire that when it gets a signal that will arm the alarm, along with a disarm wire. what i want to do is add it to my alarm that i have now and use it to monitor other sensors and have another siren, just so that i will have that much more security. The alarm that i will be adding all this too is an alpine 8028. i just finished remote start and window automation, so thats why i want the disarm wire, and i like all the sensors DEI makes. so can it be done, relativley inexpensively?

What? Why would you add an alarm to an alarm, doesn't that defeat the point of the first alarm?

i like the warn away system of DEI, plus, if one alarm is disabled, i still have another that will be going off. And just to see if i can do it.

not warn away. i mean miltiplex. i want to have a few dual-stage shock sensors, a prox sensor, tilt sensor, all of which are dual stage (DEI). these type of sensors are not easily added to my existing alarm.

You know that there are two types of dual stage sensors right?
There are units that incorporate the pre-warn in the sensor to make the alarm chirp.
The others incorporate the two zones seperately into the alarm CPU.
Thought you should know what was out there.

hmm. i did not know that. i bought a 508D, and i like the warn away feature, but i can't use it with my alarm because the only dual stage sensor is a plug in and i don't know how it works (what type of signal). I have found the 700T, which is an add on to factory keyless entry systems, and i could add that easy enough, but i don't know if it has the multiplex inputs or not. Does anyone else know?
