If your not apposed to JL, you should look into their 5 channel amp, the specs on it look dam good, and i hear it sounds great.

I have first hand experience with the Alpine MRV-F450 5 channel amp, right now in our show car we have it running 2 pairs of type-r 6.5" components, and 2 R-15's bridged at 2 ohm, , it says 4 ohm max, but 2 ohm is possible for a good 15 min burst.  It absolutly slams the 15's!

Ya but a 15 minute burst isnt very practicle for a daily driver. I still suggest seperate amps for the subs and for the speakers.
double-secret reverse-osmosis speaker-cone-induced high-level interference distortion, Its a killer

Well, I gather from everything I've heard here and thru friends is this assessment I've made:
I'm better off now with my 5-channel, 4 y/o Kicker Impulse. It's 4o watts, and that's not too shabby even for my Xterra's cabin.
I'll live with this amp, and put my money into the Music Keg. Then, the next major upgrade will be the amps, might as well wait a bit.
Sounds like although I may find a 5-channel that will do all, the overall sound quality will be maintained by dedicating a separate mono amp for the sub.
I'm not out to win awards, but I do cherish the cleanliness of my sound above all. Frank Zappa taught me that one, thru his relentless perfection of audio quality. I highly recommend picking something up of his material.
And it would appear that to have more power than you need is beneficial not just for decible issues, but mainly to keep that cleanliness.
It's STORMING in Chicago, with lightning 1/2 a second away, so I think I'll unplug my Mac now.
G'night!

I have a 5 channel soundstream and it sounds great, just got i out of the shopAmps-Kicker, Kenwood, Soundstream or Alp? - Page 2 - Last Post -- posted image. I have it hooked to two ohm loads all the way round, two 6x9s and 2 6.5s in the front, two 6.5s,two3.5s in the back and two bazooka 8s on the sub line.

I can only have the gain on the subs at 11 o clock as to not fart the zooks at high volume(need a sealed box) Love to crank itAmps-Kicker, Kenwood, Soundstream or Alp? - Page 2 - Last Post -- posted image.
