dodge neon 2000 - door light trouble

i have a strange problem with my rear passager door.

my wife have closed the door over the belt and now when i close this rear doorthe interior car light is always open.

also , when i run over night , the door is closed and the light goes on and off like when a door is open.

i have try to see the wire from outside this door but i cannot pull out this little door control pin.

any help will be appreciate .

When she closed the door on the belt she may have broken the door pin switch. May have a short in it now so it stays on and will flicker when it shakes i.e. driving

the fact is i cannot see where is this short electrical trouble from the outside.

i d'ont know where to  find a kind of shema or diagram on this vehicule electrical system.

a wiring diagram would only show you how teh circuit is designed, not where the wires themselves are run.  Usually, you have to take off a interior panel or something to actually see the wiring.  Can't you unscrew the switch when the door is open?  shold be a couple of philips head screws or something, then you could jsut take the switch out and replace it...
