double baffle on box

does a double baffle on a box help (just for the front)?

It depends on the sub you will be mounting into the box, the thickness of the wood and the surrounding area of the baffle. If you have a huge monster acoustic hair dryer to mount in your box and the baffle board is flexing, you will lose output from the sub. The baffle needs to be good and strong and in some cases with subs that can weigh quite a bit, the sub itself when it is being used, coupled with a vehicle in motion and gravity can put quite a strain on the mounting screws. In some cases the sub will rip right out of the mounts if the baffle board is not thick enough. It depends on the application but it does not hurt to go overboard either.
