Hello , hello. I got my tach problem figured out. Seems like this alarm isnt as good as i thought. It remote starts fine, but after you disarm the alarm while its running, it shuts off after about 3 sec. Anyone understand thsi alarm or work around it? Thanks

i just noticed that nothing is really working right. The "quick stop" option doesnt work. Though i do know that in the book the remote start doesnt work unless the alarm is armed. What the heck am i doing wrong????

Here's your problem.... the PINK wire ( P10 ) has to be hooked up to the BLUE wire ( P6 ). This will solve the problem of the remote starter stopping after 3 seconds. This will also fix your stop & go function as well.

thanks Jeff. All is good now, just havent figured the stop and go function yet. Probably doing something wrong. The remote start doesnt want to arm while the engine is running and the alarm is armed. Thanks again ~Ed

Not quite following your second last post. Are you saying that the Aladdin will not disarm the alarm when it has ALREADY been remote started ? or that it won't disarm when the car is running with the key ?

when i remote start it and get in and put the key in  its fine. All that works good. But if i just start the car with the doors closed and everything and then push the "e" button on the remote to activate the "quick stop" option , the remote start will not arm. It beeps and the light flashes, but the remote start will not alarm pretty much making the option invalid or unusable. I noticed too that the remote start does not work if the engine isnt running unless the alarm is armed which obviously you wouldnt try and arm the alarm while the engine is running just to use the "quick stop " option. KNow what i might be doing wrong? I appreciate your help Jeff. Ive installed  afew remote starts , but never ran into these kind od probs. Thsi Aladdin is a little different than teh ones ive installed on my cars before.

if the car is a manual and you shut it off using the "E" quick stop button you will NOT be able to restart it with the remote starter.  its a safety feature.  the only way to shut it off is by using the lock/arm button.

the remote start will not work unless the car is armed.  its all about safety.  if the doors or hood could possible be open it is considered a saftey hazard to remote start a car.

now on the quick stop,  with the key in the igntion and car running, u press the E button, remove the key from the ignition, then exit the car, close the door and then press the ARM button.  the car will stay running and the alarm with arm itself (minus sensors) while the car runs.
