Need to install remote start. Am i going to need any special module such as 555U or 555F for the Ford to bypass any type of key device? Installed alarm about 2 months ago, and customer wants remote start now. Will this be a headache or will it be pretty easy? Thanks in advance!!!!!!!

I used a 556U on my titan and used the loop antenna that came with it. No need to cut any wires but you will need a spare key to place into the 556U module. Also if your customer will want to get another key to replace the one he's giving up you should have him get the extra key before installing the remote start. The dealer will require all key to program a new one so if you install first you will just have to turn around and take the key back out of the 556U to get more spares programmed.

the ignition wires are a little tough to get to , i found its eaisr to take the cluster out and catch the ignition wires up top , but the panels scratch really easy on this car so becareful.556u or 555u work great.

goodluck
