best stereo as in head unit? or amplifier? flip face? detatchable? mp3 capabilities? cd changer controls? stereo is about as broad of a topic you can get.

i love my alpine head unit. very simple design but still has all the adjustments you need and easy to figure out. when your looking at head units they all will basically be around 15-25watts rms. and 45-55 peak. for detailed info and pics try crutchfield.com or sounddomain.com. they are great for research. but i recommend alpine or blaupunkt. stay clear of bottom of the line sony, aiwa, and jensen.

when u say 15-25 watts is that per speaker? and will a head unit power those speakers properly?

yea per speaker. yes a head unit will power them properly. you can find a head unit in the 25 watt rms x 4 range that will power them nicely. buying a 30x4watt amp would be pointless so find a head unit you like and check out that features.

I totally disagree with the statement that a 30x4 amplifier would be pointless.

A quality 30x4 amp will kick the crap out of junky head unit power.  Those head units are not that powerful when all channels are being driven and are not that clean.
