how do you install a 2nd stereo?

how would i install a 2nd stereo? could i use the same power wires? and ground wires?

stereo as an amplifier? be a little bit discriptive.

if "2nd stereo" is an amp then you can use the same power line running up to your battery as long as it is a sufficiant size for two amps running off it. (atleast 4awg is what i would recommend) then have a distribution block close to the amps in the trunk or where ever. this will have the one wire input and two wire output and wire each output to a seperate amp (again with thick enough wire) and the grounds will be on seperate parts of the cars body.

well i have a jvc deck and it contorls mai tvs and vcr and dvd player but i 2 speakers hooked to it, i bought a kenwood that i got 4 speakers 2 amps hooked to but i havent installed the power and ground in yet cause i dont know if i can use the same as the other stereo

yah i need the kenwood deck so i can use the music keg... the jvc is only hooked two 2 speakers so i can hear the movies and the kenwood is everything

alrite in that case yes you have to run a different power wire for the 2nd deck. either run it up to the battery with a fuse or into the fuse box(will be easier).  you will need a new ground and ignition too.  for the ignition hook a wire up to the fuse box where it says ignition the hook it up to the deck or you can tap into that wire going to your other deck. basically all wires will have to be new an ran but especailly the power and ground.  a couple other ones can just be split and go to both decks.
