Hello, i recently installed the ALPINE  IVA-D300.  Everyhting works fine but i cant watch movies or use the other cool options because i didnt wire up the parking and foot brake wires.  I dont know where to connect them too..

What is the easiest way to bypass this without buying the module.?

I was thinking to connect the foot brake wire to my brake lights.. would that work? but im not sure on where to connect to the parking brake wire to fool the system to think that its on.. Please help

Thanks in advance.

Connect the4 parking brake wire to the only wire coming off of the parking/e-brake. Then connect the foot brake wire to the wire that shows +12V when the brake is pushed, it is located directly above the brake in most cases.

MY alpine brain is hooked up in the trunk.  Is there anything in the trunk that would send a +12V when the brake pedal is pushed? How about the brake lights? is that +12V?

That would work, you can find the foot brake wiring in the trunk and it would probably be easier. E-brake wire on the other hand has to go to the e-brake.

here it is ..

1. your foot brake goes to foot brake

2.the wire that is to go to your parking brake connect that to your reverse wire.this wire will show 12volts when passing revese to go into drive then back to ground, this works great if its an automatic tranmission , if its not it will still work you would just have to go to (r) first .

when you take your foot off the brake VIDEO!!!
