i looked up my truck (96 chevy s-10 blazer) on the vehicle info section here and it has 2 different setups.. one has 6.5" front door speakers and 6x9's in the back.. the other setup is 6.5's in the front and back doors. Mine has speakers in all the doors but the back ones are a little smaller than the front. I measured across the front of one of the backs and it was about 6". I didnt take the fronts out and measure but last time i had the panels off i know the fronts were a little bigger.. i would guess they are 6.5". If i buy 2 sets of 6.5's will they work? or is there a 6" speaker that I need for my rear doors??

i would just open up your panel enough to measure, and be questionless,

sorry if that didnt help, but if you think your vehicles different its hard to say what it is, if it isnt as the document you read.

Crutchfield.com can show what speakers fit in your front and rear doors. I wanted 6.75's in my rear doors but they were not listed as fitting. I cut out the plastic shell that houses the rear speakers and built up some spacing with foam insulation roll to make the new speakers stick out a little more so they fit. Doing that also allowed the window to clear the magnet when it was rolled down. You can also buy ready-made spacers or make some out of wood to do this. I'm glad I checked for window clearance before I installed the speakers without spacers.
