ok, so now I'm confused as hell :)
I _will_ put my Kenwood MP3/CD player in my new ride. I am redoing the ENTIRE audio system. I have read in NUMEROUS spots that you DO NOT need to relocate the stock head unit.
1. IS THIS TRUE? (I could care less about the door chime)
2. Is there an adaptor that plugs into the factory plug that will give me Power/Accessory/ground?????? I really don't want to cut any of the wires....

as what i heard you need to relocate the old head unit. they make a wire kit that is used for this particular install i think the periparal makes one. you will lose the ability to rese certain features in the car anls the door chime and onstar if you dont relocte the HU
